As well as being famous for manufacturing knitwear and textiles, the Scottish Borders is also famous for its rugby!
As keen supporters of the game ourselves, it was a pleasure to be the main sponsor of the Jed Thistle U18’s Sevens on Saturday 2 May at Riverside Park in Jedburgh.
The event attracted a large crowd, many of whom had had travelled from the Borders and beyond to support and cheer on their team. But in the end, it came down to one of the oldest and nearest rivalries in the Borders, in a match between Jed Thistle and Hawick Youth Rugby, with Hawick coming out on top in a closely fought final.
There is no doubt that these young players are the future stars of rugby and Teviot Knitwear are honoured to have had the opportunity to support such a wonderful competition.
